Trim Levels
There are six trim levels available with the Pacifica. The new base L starts them off with 17-inch steel wheels, heated side mirrors, and keyless entry. The LX model adds alloy wheels, and it has a body-colored exterior trim. Step up to the Touring Plus for fog lights, chrome trim on the outside, and LED taillights. The Touring L adds some interior upgrades to the Touring Plus and offers the option for some additional packages. The Touring L Plus adds a panoramic sunroof up front and a fixed sunroof in the back, and you can also add 18-inch wheels. The top-level Limited comes with the larger wheels, adds LED fog lights, and comes with power-folding side mirrors.
Engine
All the Pacifica models get a 3.6-liter V-6 engine. This will produce 287 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, and it comes with a nine-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. Chrysler also offers the Pacifica as a plug-in hybrid, which has the same V-6 engine along with an electric motor. The hybrid switches out the nine-speed transmission for a CVT, and it has a lithium-ion battery.
Performance
Not only does the Pacifica offer a smooth and quiet ride, but it is also one of the most fuel-efficient minivans on the market. You can get 18 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway. The plug-in hybrid is even better with 32 mpg combined, and it has a total range of 570 miles.
Interior
The Pacifica's cabin has a little something for everyone. There is room for up to eight passengers unless you choose the second-row captain's chairs, which reduces the seating to seven. In the back, the 32-cubic-foot cargo area behind the seats increases to 140 cubic feet when you fold the seats down. The Pacifica also has the Stow 'n Go seats that fold down into the floor and power-folding third-row seats to make using the space easier. For technology, a 7-inch touch-screen display comes standard with the option for a larger 8.4-inch screen depending on the trim. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also standard, and some of the additional options include satellite radio, rear seat touch screens, and an upgraded stereo.
Safety Features
The Pacifica received a five-star safety rating and comes standard with a rearview camera on all the trims. Upgrade to the Touring L with the Advanced Safety Tec package for active safety equipment such as front parking sensors, a forward collision warning system with mitigation, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and an automated parking system. A 360-degree top-down parking camera is also part of this package along with automatic high beams.
