Trim Levels
The Charger is available in 10 trim levels: SXT, SXT Plus, GT, GT Plus, R/T, Daytona, R/T Scat Pack, Daytona 392, SRT 392, and SRT Hellcat. Four-wheel drive is available on GT models. The base model has a black grille flanked by curved, automatic headlights and LED daytime running lamps. It also features 17-inch alloy wheels, body-color bumpers, door handles, and power side mirrors. SXT Plus has 18-inch wheels, LED projector fog lights, and heated door mirrors, while the GT, R/T, and Scat Pack add 20-inch wheels, hood scoop, a rear spoiler, power-folding mirrors, and remote keyless entry. The SRT Hellcat features a performance hood with dual air extractors.
Engine
Four power units are available. The SXT has a 3.6-liter V-6 producing 292 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque through an eight-speed automatic transmission. The Daytona features a 5.7-liter V-8, which gives you 370 horsepower and 395 pound-feet of torque, while the SRT 392 and Daytona 392 get the 392 HEMI 6.4-liter V-8 engine giving 485 horsepower and 475 pound-feet. In the SRT Hellcat is a supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 that pumps out 707 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque.
Performance
The smooth-performing V-6 engine will return up to 30 mpg for highway driving. The powerful and efficient 5.7-liter V-8 will give you 25 highway mpg. The 6.4-liter V-8 returns 24 mpg on the highway, but when you need the power, it will get you from 0 to 60 mph in a little over 4 seconds. As happy on the drag strip as the freeway, the SRT Hellcat is the fastest production sedan in the world. With a top speed of over 200 mph and a 0-to-60 time of 3.7 seconds, the competition will only be able to admire your taillights.
Interior
Inside the Charger SXT, you'll find cloth upholstery with a six-way power driver's seat, 60/40 split folding rear seats, a leather-bound steering wheel with audio and cruise controls, and dual-zone climate control. The Uconnect infotainment system features a 7-inch touchscreen, six-speaker audio with voice activation, smartphone integration, and 4G Wi-Fi hotspot. The SXT Plus adds eight-way power driver's seat, and an 8.4-inch touchscreen, while the R/T has satellite radio. Daytona features heated leather trimmed seats and the Daytona 392 adds ventilated seats and a heated steering wheel.
Safety Features
Passenger safety is provided by front, side, and overhead air bags. Safe handling is assured with electronic stability control with anti-roll, driveline traction control, ABS with brake assist, and hill-start assist. A rear camera and reverse sensing system aids parking. Higher spec models add blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and enhanced braking and handling systems. Upgraded safety packages including forward-collision safety alert are available as options.
