2020 Jeep Renegade

The exterior of the 2020 Renegade is designed to look more like a refined city SUV than its more rugged Jeep-body cousins. It comes in seven trim levels for the 2020 model year, including the Sport, Upland, Latitude, Altitude, Trailhawk, Limited, and High Altitude. This Renegade is compact and more than capable of taking tight turns or narrow parking spots with ease. The Renegade's available exterior features include removable roof paneling, 17-inch wheels, a sunroof, splash guards, fog lighting, and automatic headlights.

A triumvirate of engines rule the road from their place inside the 2020 Renegade. They include a 1.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder providing 177 horsepower and 210 pound-feet of torque, a 2.4-liter four-cylinder TigerShark MultiAir engine producing 180 horsepower, and a 1.2-liter plug-in hybrid engine generating an impressive 240 horsepower. Don't underestimate the TigerShark. Its systems allow for increased power, decreased fuel consumption, lower RPM torque, and a reduction in emissions.

Each engine available for the 2020 Renegade has a nine-speed automatic transmission with auto-manual and overdrive capabilities. This transmission is designed to help the Renegade take on all sorts of terrain with its array of settings, which include sand, rock, snow, mud, and auto. The auto setting allows the transmission to adapt to the terrain as you come upon it actively. The hybrid's engine components share the work of moving the Renegade, with the gas half driving the forward axle while the electric one drives the rear axle. All-wheel drive is optional for all trims, but not for the hybrid, which gets it standard. The electrical components of the hybrid can run for 30 miles on their own before going dead, which is ideal for situations where you need an emergency reserve to get to the station in time.

Standard interior features for the 2020 Renegade include push-button engine ignition, Bluetooth capabilities, and folding rear seats for cargo space expansion. Comfort options include a leather steering wheel and heated front seats.
