2021 Jeep Gladiator
The 2021 Jeep Gladiator is unique among midsize pickup trucks. By combining the legendary off-road capability of the Wrangler with the towing and hauling capacities of a truck, it offers practicality and fun. It's also the only convertible truck on the market. By removing the roof and doors and folding down the windshield, you can enjoy the wind in your hair.
Trim Levels
Available in Sport, Sport S, Overland, Rubicon, and Mojave trim levels, along with four limited-edition models, the Gladiator features a five-seat cab and a five-foot bed. The Sport trim has Jeep's signature seven-slot grille, distinctive round headlights, fog lights, a black soft top, 17-inch wheels, and a class 2 bumper hitch.
Sport S models feature alloy wheels and heated power mirrors, while the Overland offers color-keyed fender flares, daytime running lights, side steps, and 18-inch wheels. The Rubicon has higher ground clearance for additional off-road capability, rock rails, underbody armor, and 17-inch wheels with off-road tires. The Mojave adds a vented performance hood.
Engine
Powering the Gladiator is a 3.6-liter V-6 engine that generates 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. It's matched with a six-speed manual transmission or an optional eight-speed automatic. In all but the Mojave, you can choose a 3.0-liter V-6 turbo-diesel that delivers 260 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque through an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Performance
When you need to haul gear, the Gladiator has an impressive maximum payload of 1,700 pounds. When equipped with the available Max Tow Package, it offers a towing capacity of up to 7,650 pounds.
All Gladiators are awesomely capable when you get off the beaten path, but the Rubicon takes it up a notch with its locking front and rear differentials, 4.10 rear axle ratio, electronically disconnecting front stabilizer bar, and Fox shocks.
Designed for high-speed off-roading, the Mojave wears its well-earned Desert Rated badge with pride. It features a reinforced frame, a specially tuned transfer case, and Fox internal bypass shocks with hydraulic jounce bumpers.
Interior
The Sport trim features cloth seats, a 60/40 split-folding rear bench, air conditioning, push-button start, a driver information display, cruise control, and a tilt and telescope steering wheel. The infotainment system has voice recognition, Bluetooth, an eight-speaker sound system, a media hub, and a 5-inch touch screen.
The Sport S adds power windows and door locks, while Overland models offer dual-zone automatic climate control, a 7-inch color driver information display, a leather-bound steering wheel, LED ambient lighting, a 115-volt power outlet, a 7-inch touch screen, and smartphone integration. The Rubicon and Mojave trims each offer their own unique features and upholstery to match their rugged capability.
Safety Features
The Gladiator helps keep you on the road with electronic stability control with anti-roll mitigation, ABS and driveline traction control, hill start assist, and four-wheel ABS with a hydraulic assist brake booster. Also standard are a rearview camera and a tire pressure monitoring system.
Optional safety features include adaptive cruise control with stop, frontal collision alert, a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic detection, and rear park assist. The optional SiriusXM Guardian with SOS and roadside assistance call, along with an enhanced accident response system, ensures you get quick assistance if things go wrong.
