While all versions of the Charger offer the classic style the model is known for, you'll need to examine its five trim levels closely to see which has the exterior features that excite you the most. The standard trim is the SXT, and it already comes with bifunctional LED projector headlights and 17-inch alloy wheels. Upgrade to the GT, however, and you'll find a hood scoop and 20-inch wheels.

With the R/T trim, the exterior is outfitted with 20-inch satin carbon wheels and the option for a black one-piece rear spoiler. On the Scat Pack trim, you have the option for the Widebody Package that makes the wheels wider along with the fender flares, and 20-inch wheels are available too. The top-level trim is the SRT Hellcat, which is best known for its engine power. In terms of exterior features, however, you can enjoy a standard widebody package alongside HID headlights and the option for a Satin Black painted hood.

An impressive seven engine options are available with the Charger, and they're all packing more power than you'd get with the average sedan. The standard is a 3.6-liter V-6 with 292 horsepower, but you can upgrade to a 300-horsepower version right from the base trim level. If that's not enough for you, there's a 5.7-liter V-8 engine with 370 horsepower and an even more powerful 6.4-liter V-8 with 485 horsepower.

The supercharged V-8 engines are truly legendary, with each one pushing your power beyond 700 horses. The 6.2-liter supercharged V-8 has 717 horsepower, and that's the weakest one. The Hellcat Redeye is equipped with a 797 horsepower version of that engine, but the absolute maximum version of that supercharged V-8 boasts an incredible 807 horsepower.

Performance is where the Charger shines the brightest. All of the most essential aspects of this vehicle are designed to boost performance as much as possible. The standard trim is already impressive, but the Scat Pack and SRT models come standard with even more performance features, such as Adaptive Damping Suspension and six-piston Brembo brakes. The performance suspension is especially fun, as it lowers the vehicle by about half an inch and utilizes sway bars and Bilstein high-performance shock absorbers.

Despite the focus on performance, the Charger's interior is alluring in its own right. The sedan comes with features like a driver information digital cluster display, push-button start/stop, and the available Uconnect 4C NAV system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.

Safety is important when you have this much power at your command. Fortunately, the Charger is equipped with impressive safety features like blind spot monitoring, forward collision warning, and lane-keeping assist. It also received an overall safety rating of five stars from National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
