Trim Levels (Exterior)
There are four total trim levels available for the 2023 Jeep Cherokee, and each has its own unique exterior features to consider. The base model is known as the Latitude Lux, and it offers roof rails, 17-inch alloy wheels, and LED headlights and taillights. With the X model, you'll get all-terrain tires, a rear tow hook, wheel arch extensions, and an off-road-oriented suspension, taking everything great about the Latitude Lux and making it shine off-road.
The Trailhawk trim is the primary outdoor-oriented trim for the Cherokee with even more off-roading features to enjoy. Some of those exterior features include an underbody skid plate and black hood decals. Finally, the Limited trim is a bit more luxurious with 18-inch wheels and a scenic panoramic sunroof.
Engine (Power)
Two engine options are available for the Cherokee, and they both offer more power than you might expect from a crossover of this size. The standard engine is a 3.2-liter V-6 that boasts 271 horsepower with 239 pound-feet of torque. If that's not quite what you're looking for, there is a turbocharged 2-liter four-cylinder engine available that offers 270 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. Note that the turbocharged engine is available as an upgrade for any trim level.
Performance
The 2023 Jeep Cherokee's performance shines both on and off the road. Even the base model has some off-road capability, but the Trailhawk is meant for adventure, thanks to its trail-rated four-wheel-drive system that comes with a locking rear axle. You may also outfit the Cherokee with a trailer tow package complete with a Class III receiver hitch, a seven-pin wiring harness, and upgraded engine cooling.
Interior
Inside the Cherokee, there are many alluring features. Heated front seats and a heated steering wheel are standard, even in the base model, along with an 8.4-inch infotainment touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration. Opt for a more luxurious version of the Cherokee, however, and you'll enjoy leather seats, memory settings for the driver's seat, a premium audio system with nine speakers, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.
