For the 2020 model year, Jeep is creating a completely new vehicle: the Gladiator pickup truck. Jeep hasn't made a pickup truck since 1992, but before then they made trucks every year starting in 1947. As such, the 2020 Gladiator is a grand return to form, and it shows exactly what you get when you combine a pickup truck design and a company dedicated to off-road and four-wheel technology. Back to Basics Out of Jeep's entire lineup, the Wrangler is the closest in design to the original Jeep that helped the United States win World War II. Maybe that's why the 2020 Gladiator looks and acts like a modified Wrangler. Like the Wrangler, the Gladiator has a boxy, old-fashioned design and trademark features such as doors and a roof that are easy to remove. You also get the same solid-steel bumper the new Wrangler offers, and the top trim on both models is the Rubicon. more A Drivetrain Worth Buying Another thing the 2020 Gladiator has in common with the Jeep Wrangler is a 4x4 drivetrain on every single model. No matter which trim you choose, you're guaranteed to get four-wheel drive. You also get a set of 33-inch wheels with all-terrain tires that are good at gripping the trail, even when there's no asphalt within 100 miles. Depending on the trim, you can also get advanced all-terrain features such as removable anti-roll bars for added wheel mobility and Tru-Lok locking differentials for the front and rear axles. A Pickup Truck's Utility The Gladiator is much more than just a Wrangler with a cargo bed strapped to the back. The Gladiator adds 31 inches to its length and 19.4 inches to its wheelbase compared to the two-door Wrangler.  On top of that, while the engine is the same V-6 available in some Wrangler trims, Jeep engineers have optimized the Gladiator for hauling and towing. That's why this Jeep pickup can handle up to 1,600 pounds in the bed or tow 7,650 pounds, over twice the towing max of a Wrangler. Plenty of Off-Road Extras The 2020 Jeep Gladiator has more than just a drivetrain handy for off-road conditions. Depending on the trim, you can also get the TrailCam Off-Road Camera. This camera offers trail projections based on the direction of your front wheels, and that comes in handy when you can't trust every inch of the trail in front of you. In fact, the camera even comes with a self-cleaning feature so mud won't take it out of commission. Other off-road features include steel skid plates, heavy-duty forged tow hooks, and Fox brand shocks in the suspension. Jeep is back in the midsize pickup market, thanks to the 2020 Gladiator, and you can be sure you've never seen a pickup quite like this before. You can find are Thai-inspired salads, such as green bean salad, papaya salad, larb, yum neau, and soups such as thom gai. Seoul Fresh For a delicious Korean restaurant, Seoul Fresh is located in Circle Centre Mall in the Wholesale District at 49 W. Maryland St. It serves up Instagram-worthy dishes that you'll want to eat over and over again. One of the customer favorites is the bulgogi asada bowl, which has an over-easy egg on top. Pho 21 No list of the best Asian food would be complete without a place to get pho. Pho 21, located at 8134 E. 21st St., has Vietnamese-inspired pho, noodle dishes, and bubble tea. Dodge Viper Making a stunning comeback (again, for the second time) is the Dodge Viper. It was canceled in 2017 with no expectation to return, but it's slated to come back with some minor changes in 2020. One of the most significant changes is the engine. The 2020 Viper will come back with a V-8 instead of a V-10. However, that V-8 may be able to compete with larger counterparts since Dodge's engine technology is consistently increasing in sophistication and power. A smaller engine won't be as much of a hindrance to the Viper as you may think, since the overall design will be much lighter. Dodge is working on incorporating aluminum and carbon fiber into its vehicles to make them much lighter and more durable. more Dodge Charger Widebody When it comes to muscle cars, the Dodge Charger leads Dodge's lineup. It's big and bulky with an aggressive look and performance to match. Dodge invests a lot into finding ways of making its muscle cars better. One of the design changes that stands out the most is a wider wheelbase and body. Performance vehicles often struggle through turns and have problems with stability. Widening their stance helps solve this problem by making cars more stable and improving their turning performance. For 2020, the Dodge Charger will get a Widebody version just like the Challenger already has. Dodge Challenger SRT Ghoul If you're missing the Hellcat, there's something even better on the horizon. While early estimates say it may be out in 2020, the actual launch date is still unconfirmed. However, the Dodge Challenger SRT Ghoul is set to replace the Hellcat in terms of power and speed. Its initial specs place it at 840 horsepower. This is an early estimate, though, as there's also a 1,000-horsepower engine option that could be used. The price is estimated to be around $200,000 to start, making it one of the most expensive SRT projects ever. Dodge is in the middle of a transition to becoming a performance-focused brand, which is pushing the company to find new ways of maximizing performance across all of its vehicles. The Jeep Grand Cherokee is capable, functional, and luxurious. You get a lot with the Grand Cherokee including a smooth on-road ride and best-in-class off-road capabilities. The 2019 model carries over with just a few changes including making some advanced safety systems standard, and there is a new Limited X trim. With the Limited and above you can opt for a 3.0-liter turbodiesel V-6 with 240 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque or a 5.7-liter V-8 that gets 360 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque. The SRT has its own powertrain which includes a 6.4-liter V-8 with 475 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque, and the Trackhawk brings the most power with its 6.2-liter V-8 engine that generates 707 horsepower and 645 pound-feet of torque. The Cabin and Technology Even the base Grand Cherokee comes standard with a high-resolution 7-inch touch screen display and the Uconnect infotainment system, but stepping up to the Limited gets you an upgraded 8.4-inch touch screen and adds navigation and satellite radio. The higher-end Summit adds a 19-speaker Harman Kardon stereo; depending on the trim level, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are both available. Inside, this SUV comes with room for up to five passengers, and starting with the Limited, you'll get a heated steering wheel, leather seats, and heated seats both up front and in the back. Nappa leather is an available upgrade along with ventilated front seats. There is a splash and play area for infants and toddlers, cabanas and shelters, and concessions. Throughout the summer season, Freedom Springs hosts several events for the whole family. The Model Lineup The Ram 3500 comes in five different trim levels. The Tradesman is the basic work truck, and up from there is the Big Horn, the Laramie, the Longhorn, and the Limited. You only need to step up to the Big Horn to get LED headlights and taillights plus lots of additional technology in the cabin. One of the most notable upgrades to the exterior of the new 3500 is the huge front grille. This is 30 percent larger than the 2018 and includes active shutters and a lower air dam to help with aerodynamics. more The Engine Lineup The standard engine in the 3500 is a V-8 that will produce 410 horsepower and 429 pound-feet of torque. New for 2019, Ram offers a 6.7-liter turbo diesel six-cylinder that puts out 400 horsepower and produces an impressive 1,000 pound-feet of torque. When equipped with this engine, the 3500 can handle up to a 6,910-pound payload and tow up to 35,100 pounds. This is a huge difference from the base engine which can tow up to 18,210 pounds and handle a 7,680-pound payload, and it is also an increase of 4,100 pounds from last year's model. The Cabin Inside, the 3500 has comfortable seats both up front and in the back, with over 43 inches of legroom for the passengers sitting in the back. The upper-level trims have high-quality leather upholstery, and all models come with tons of storage options. The rear seats even recline, or you can fold them down to create a flat surface for storing tall items that you want to keep in the cabin. The top 3500 trims get the option for the new 12-inch Uconnect touch screen display which you can divide in half to use two different applications at one time. The lower-end trims still get an 8.4-inch touch screen, and there is an option for a 10-speaker or 17-speaker stereo. The Safety Features All the Ram trucks come with a rearview camera, and new for 2019, a 360-degree surround view camera with views of both sides of the trailer is an available option. This view helps the driver to see when they need to maneuver around obstacles while towing. This camera is part of the multiple-camera system that makes it easier to see the truck and trailer. It also includes a camera inside the trailer that allows you to see the corners of the trailer on your split screen. Ram also added a new tire-pressure monitoring system for the trailer that provides information for up to six pickup tires and up to 12 trailer tires.
