Bowling Alleys Near Greenwood, INThere are plenty of excellent ways to spend an evening in Indianapolis and if you’re a fan of bowling, you can add that to the list. There are plenty of great alleys to choose from in the area, and bowling can be a great hobby or sport depending on your dedication level. Here are some of the top bowling alleys around Indianapolis.

Royal Pin Woodland

Located on East 96th Street, Royal Pin Woodland is a prime spot for some bowling fun. With 70 lanes open at any given time, you’re sure to have some pins waiting to be knocked down when you arrive.

Royal Pin Woodland also features cosmic bowling which adds glow in the dark lights, music, and even fog! If not everyone in your party wants to bowl another set, they can take advantage of Royal Pin’s other amenities which include an arcade, mini golf, and a VR experience. Anyone looking for competitive bowling can join a league which hosts matches at Royal Pin Woodland.

Guests with large groups can take advantage of several private meeting spaces for birthday parties or corporate events. Of course, all this bowling is bound to make you hungry, and the cafe does not disappoint. It features a full menu that includes American favorites such as burgers, sandwiches, wraps, beer battered fries, pizza, and pasta. There’s truly something for everyone on the menu.

Royal Pin also has several other nearby locations. These other Indianapolis bowling locations can be found on Elmwood Avenue and  West Washington Street. If these are closer to you than the East 96th Street location, they offer comparable activities and events.

Atomic Bowl, Duckpin Bowling

If you’re looking for an exciting change of pace, you’ll want to give the duckpin bowling at Atomic Bowl a try. Duckpin bowling uses a smaller ball and scaled down pins for a new take on classic ten-pin bowling. The venue does require a reservation, so be sure to call ahead and make sure there’s a lane waiting for you on your arrival. Remember to grab a bite to eat at the full-service cafe which can serve a table at the restaurant or bring food out while you bowl. The menu features bar bites, sandwiches, and pizza.

Sunshine Bowling Center

The Sunshine Bowling Center is a bit smaller than some of the other venues, but the fun is just as big. There are 12 bowling lanes at Sunshine. Each features automatic, electric scoring, and optional bumpers. The bowling alley also hosts leagues and tournaments, so there’s always some exciting 10-pin action going on.

The kitchen serves up some delicious food while you bowl, or you can sit at the bar for a drink. Menu items include bar bites, sandwiches, pizza, salads, and desserts. The menu also features several sharable dishes. Despite the smaller venue, the Sunshine bowling center is an excellent location to hold parties and special events.
