Greenwood Farmers Market

Discover some of the best locally grown food and handmade crafts when you visit the Greenwood Farmers Market. The market is open every Saturday from May to October. As you browse the stalls of the market, you can find fresh produce, flowers, baked goods, bags of coffee, pet treats, honey, snacks, candles, sauces, and more. You can even enjoy some live music and other entertainment while you’re picking out what you need.

Greenwood Community Center

The recently renovated Greenwood Community Center has something to entertain everyone. The two-story Kid City is a year-round indoor play zone that has STEM-focused activity centers. If you’re looking to get your heart pumping, the gym features state-of-the-art exercise equipment, free weights, and open space for your own workouts. You can also sign up for one of the numerous fitness classes for various ages and abilities, or check out the schedule for open times on the basketball, volleyball, and pickleball courts.

University Park

When you want to go outside and enjoy some fresh air, Greenwood has 15 parks covering 281 acres. One of the largest and most popular parks in the area is the 40-acre University Park. When you visit the park, you can set out on the walking trails that wind through wooded areas and open fields. Young kids will have a great time playing at the forest-themed playground, and older kids can head to the basketball court for a game. Even the furry family members can tag along and delight in some playtime at the Four Paws Dog Park.

Oaken Barrel Brewing Company

Like other parts of Indiana, Greenwood has a growing craft brewery scene. If you want to savor some unique drinks, check out Oaken Barrel Brewing Company, which is the second-oldest brewpub in the state. Popular options here include the Gnaw Bone, Indiana Amber, Alabaster, and Razz Wheat. If you’re hungry, the brewpub also has a restaurant that serves salads, pasta, pizzas, sandwiches, burgers, and entrees. Customer favorites include the Cajun jambalaya pasta and mesquite-smoked ribs.
