2018 Wrangler Unlimited vs Unlimited Sahara in Greenwood, INThe new 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited is here and with it comes awesome performance, amazing off-road capabilities, an incredible design, and a premium interior. If you’ve decided this is the car for you, there’s a good chance you’ve already fallen in love with everything it has to offer.

Of course, now comes the hard part: which trim level should you select? There are plenty available in Jeep’s lineup, and today, we’ll be looking over the 2018 Wrangler Unlimited Sport and Sahara. These are two of the most popular trims available with the vehicle and offer different feature sets suited for your specific driving needs. Here’s a breakdown of what each model includes.

Design

In both cases, you’re getting durable and versatile designs. The 2018 Wrangler Unlimited Sport offers all the standard exterior features such as manual windows, locks, and side mirrors. Meanwhile, the Sahara offers electronically-controlled components for ease of use and comfort. The Sport ships with rugged 17-inch steel wheels and high-end skid plates to accommodate the transfer case and fuel tank. On the other hand, the Sahara opts for special 18-inch wheels with all-terrain tires, tubular side steps, and body-colored fenders for a more unique look.

Overall, while there aren’t that many differences between the two models externally, you will notice a few changes here or there that will set each trim apart.

Power

What makes the 2018 Wrangler Unlimited Sport and Sahara great are their inclusion of the same engines, giving drivers the same amount of power regardless of their trim selection. Both models ship with a 3.6-liter V-6 engine with 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. You also get up to an eight-speed automatic transmission that further improves the performance of the Wrangler. When paired with the incredible handling and steering of the four-wheel drive system and normal duty suspensions loaded into the vehicle, you can expect nothing short of amazing performance out of either trim.

Features

Both the 2018 Wrangler Unlimited Sport and Sahara have amazing feature sets. But of course, both are different in various ways. Whereas the Sport offers premium cloth seating, the Sahara is available with leather-trimmed seats completed with the Sahara logo. Similarly, the Sport model offers standard air conditioning, while the Sahara comes with auto temperature control for extra comfort.

As far as convenience goes, the Sport model comes with a 5.0-inch touch-screen display, an audio jack, a cluster TFT display, Bluetooth, a media hub, power outlets, illuminated cup holders, a locking glove box, extra storage compartments, and a vehicle information center. Meanwhile, the Sahara ups the ante with all of the features of the Sport plus a 7.0-inch touch-screen display, an Alpine premium audio system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SiriusXM radio, leather-wrapped driving controls, speed sensitive power locks, and a universal garage opener.

All in all, either package will give you the performance, comfort, convenience, and safety you need for the road ahead. We hope you were able to decide which 2018 Wrangler Unlimited trim is right for you. If you’d like to learn more, visit Tom O’Brien CDJR and schedule a test drive.
