1. Craig Park
Craig Park is a favorite park among residents. This 27-acre park is the largest in Old Town Greenwood and features a wide variety of amenities, including several playgrounds, sports courts, walking paths, and play spaces.
Two yearly events, WAMM Fest and Freedom Festival, also take place here. Families and couples can spend an entire day bonding over disco golf, soccer, hiking, and even skateboarding. You can enjoy sledding during the winter when the conditions are right and free outdoor music events in the summer.
2. Freedom Springs Aquatics Park
Celebrate good weather with a day at Freedom Springs Aquatics Park. This aquatic theme park boasts giant water slides with thrilling turns, a lazy river, private swim lessons, and private cabana rentals. Find your escape with a relaxing float along the river or bring out your inner daredevil at the drop slide. There is also a splash pad for infants and toddlers to join in on the fun safely. There’s no better way to work on your tan.
3. Hickory Stick Golf Club
If you live in Greenwood and golfing is your favorite pastime, consider taking advantage of nice weather with a membership to the Hickory Stick Golf Club. This award-winning 18-hole green has challenging experiences for players of all levels. What better way to soak in the great weather than by working on your hole-in-one?
4. Old City Park
The oldest park in downtown Greenwood may be ancient, but it has recently been re-imagined with modern playground equipment for an unforgettable experience. During a trip to this park, your kids can run and play on climbing walls, jungle gyms, climbing nets, and an open space.
Adults can slip away to the promenade over Pleasant Creek or challenge each other to a friendly round of ping pong. Featuring some of the most innovative play areas and entertainment choices, you certainly should consider spending the next sunny day here.
