2019 Jeep Cherokee in Greenwood, INThe Jeep Cherokee is a standout in the large, midsize SUV segment for drivers who want a smooth on-road ride with the utility to go off on adventures that might take them over some rougher terrain. The 2019 Jeep Cherokee arrives with some significant updates including a new, more modern look, a new dual-pane sunroof, and a new rear fascia along with dual exhaust. In addition to its new look, here are some reasons why the 2019 Jeep Cherokee is the best vehicle for outdoor adventures.

The New Engine

The 2019 Cherokee has a new engine under the hood. The 2.0-liter direct-injection turbo four-cylinder develops 270 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque and comes with a start-stop function to help increase fuel efficiency. Along with this new engine, the Cherokee also carries over with its other engines including the 2.4-liter four cylinders with 180 horsepower and the 3.2-liter V-6 that will get 271 horsepower and 239 pound-feet of torque.

The Cherokee Trailhawk

The added off-road features and equipment you get with the Trailkawk makes it capable of tackling almost anything. It has knobbier tires and sits up an inch higher than the rest of the trims. The 4-low mode, locking rear differential and upgraded breakover angles for both approach and departure allows the Trailhawk to drive over even the toughest off-road course.

The Upgraded Cabin

Jeep made some nice improvements to the Cherokee’s cabin. The center stack is sleeker with a streamlined look, and the touch screen has newly designed vents surrounding it. The dashboard sits up higher than before to give the cabin a more spacious feel, and the dash has a new padded slot under the touch screen where you can store your phone. The seats are more comfortable than ever so everyone can stay comfortable while you ride, and the back seat has plenty of room for three passengers.

The Technology

Apple CarPlay and Android Auto now come standard so you can stay connected during your adventure, and it comes with the latest Uconnect system. Just a step up from the base trim gets you satellite radio as a standard feature, and you can also add a power outlet and a power liftgate. Navigation, HD radio, and an upgraded nine-speaker stereo system are also available.

The Safety

With all the other upgrades and off-road equipment, Jeep didn’t forget about safety. The Cherokee comes standard with a rearview camera, and the higher-end trims come with the option for the Technology Group package and its advanced safety features. Adding this package will get you forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, automatic high beams, lane departure warning, traffic-adaptive cruise control, and an automatic parking system that will work whether you need to park in a perpendicular spot or make your way into a parallel parking space.

The 2019 Jeep Cherokee has everything you need to take it on an outdoor adventure whether this means you’re driving on the road or off it.
