2020 White Jeep Wrangler UnlimitedFrom several special edition models to a new mild hybrid option, the 2020 Jeep Wrangler is bringing exciting changes to the table. It’s still as capable, powerful, and awesome as ever, but now comes with even more style and package options. Here’s what you need to know about the 2020 Wrangler.

New Limited Editions

In addition to the new Wrangler’s four standard trim options, you’ll have five special edition models to choose from. The Black and Tan option offers a distinct style with laid-back vibes. The tan soft top roof provides a zipper-free design that makes for quick and easy lowering and raising. It’s painted in a dark granite color with granite-finished, 17-inch aluminum wheels. Blacked-out badging and exterior details add to the overall sleek look. Inside, you’ll find tan cloth seats contrasting with a black dashboard and other dark interior accents.

Choose the Freedom edition to show your patriotism in a unique way. This model includes special badging that gives a nod to the American military. The hood displays five-pointed stars, and the tailgate features an Oscar Mike decal. You’ll also find fun and interesting details throughout, including a data plate inside the rear swing gate with an American flag, water fording information, and details about the assembly plant. Similar data plates were found on official military Jeep vehicles in the past.

Both the Sport and Sahara models get an Altitude trim option that adds several upgraded style and comfort features, such as a hardtop headliner and gloss black accents. The Willys edition pays homage to the original recreational Wrangler built in 1948, the Willys Overland CJ-3A. This edition includes loads of off-roading features, including heavy-duty rock rails and skid plates and unique exterior badging.

New Hybrid and EcoDiesel Options

A new eTorque Mild Hybrid system is available with both the Pentastar V-6 engine and the turbo engine. This provides the 2020 Jeep Wrangler with seamless stop and start abilities while idling to preserve fuel and get even better rock-crawling capabilities. When you pair this system with the 2.0-liter turbo engine, you’ll get 270 horsepower, 295 pound-feet of torque, and 3,500 pounds of towing capacity. The V-6 engine offers 285 horsepower, 260 pound-feet of torque, and the same towing capacity when paired with the eTorque system.

Another engine option is available with a new EcoDiesel system. The 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V-6 gets up to 260 horsepower and a shocking 442 pound-feet of torque. This translates to increased towing capacity and off-road abilities.

Tried and True Capability

The 2020 Wrangler continues the proud tradition of the trail-rated badge, which is Jeep’s award for passing a series of grueling off-road tests. As a trail-rated vehicle, the Wrangler can ford water up to 30 inches deep, maneuver over large rocks and logs, maintain traction over rough terrain, and avoid underbody damage even while climbing rocks.
